Connecticut Housing Investment Fund (CHIF): Documents required for Short Sale decision

Connecticut Housing Investment Fund (C H I F) Documents required for Short Sale decision:

1. Borrower's hardship letter stating the reason for the Short Sale.

2. A copy of the borrower's 3rd Party Authorization

3. A copy of the sales contract

4. A copy of a good faith estimate / HUD-1 settlement statement

5. A copy of appraisal/document showing the current value of the property.

6. Stated amount being offered for Short Sale on the mortgage serviced by CHIF or the CHIF mortgage.

NOTE: All documents are to be sent to CHIF via email at Carith@chif.org or Pal@chif.org or fax to 860-920-2041 Attention Short Sale. Upon receipt of all the required documents, CHIF will review &/or forward to the mortgage note holder for a final decision.  It may take up to 5 or more business days for a response.

Important: If monthly payment method is ACH, automatic withdrawl will continue unless a written notice is received to cancel automatic payments.
